PT Growth – Your Career Development Path

At MVPT Physical Therapy, we’ve been in business for over 39 years, expanding into new regions and towns, adding new services, and creating new opportunities for our team members. We know that the single most important asset we have is our people, and we offer the most robust, clearly defined career path of any physical therapy network in New England.

New physical therapists at MVPT Physical Therapy can grow their careers along two separate, but interconnected pathways:

  • The pathway of ever-expanding clinical expertise or
  • An evolving pathway of managerial responsibilities, culminating in co-ownership of a clinic or group of clinics as a partner.

As a new, physical therapist at MVPT Physical Therapy, you will be assigned a one-on-one mentor to help you learn the ropes and get comfortable in our organization. We also offer a best-in-class continuing education program coordinated by Dr. Dave Nolan, Clinical Specialist at the Mass General Sports Physical Therapy Service and the Director of the MGH/Northeastern University Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program. These programs, provided through our affiliate Bay State Physical Therapy, allow our physical therapists to become certified in specialties of interest.

You may also have the option to continue your clinical growth by becoming a Clinical Instructor, Clinical Education Coordinator, or Clinical Specialist for students training in our facilities, with further opportunities for clinical advancement by becoming a Senior Clinical Education Coordinator.

If you’re interested in becoming a manager, once you’ve established yourself as a physical therapist, you may have the opportunity to become a mentor to new hires and even students who are spending their clinical rotations with us.

We also offer a formal, 9-month Leadership Development Program, providing a strong foundation for becoming a Senior PT, Lead PT, and Clinic Manager. Once you’ve established yourself as a leader both clinically and operationally, you may be invited to become a MVPT Physical Therapy Managing Partner. As a Managing Partner, you benefit from a share of the profits of the clinics you oversee. At MVPT Physical Therapy and our affiliates, we have nearly two dozen MPs who are the entrepreneurial engine who fuel our success.
